Making Every Penny Count

The newest offer in Canada is the PC Points offered through Loblaw associated stores.  It use to be that if you carried an account and/or a Master Card with PC Financial were the only ways to collect the points.  Now  there is a card that is free to everyone and currently available from the cashier.  Collecting is very easy and then, much like Optimum Points with Shoppers Drug Mart,  traded in for grocery purchases.

The more you use the card the more the account remembers your common purchases.  You go to the rewards card website, sign in with your card number and download the weeks' purchases available to earn even more points than the standard advertised purchases. Of course carrying the card plus using your PC Master Card or debit card to pay for your groceries will make collecting that much faster.

REVIEW:
I have personally just started using this newest system.  I use to have an account with PC Financial and a Master Card but found juggling too many accounts and trying to pay off another Master Card wasn't worth the points I was earning.   So far I have used this new system twice.  In total I have spent approximately $200 and have earned $4 in points.  My hope and plan is that with the personalized shopping list available the points will increase substantially.

I will keep you posted as I work the system to the best of my ability and as I investigate how others make the most of this potential money saving opportunity.
